Yes, Clubspot is a subscription service, but we offer an entry level plan that is FREE to use. On the Basic Plan you are technically a subscriber, but your subscription fee is $0 per month. That means that you can use our entry level service without even putting a billing method on file. The Basic Plan gives you access to powerful tools like our camp registration system and dashboard. As your needs grow you can choose to add other services to further streamline operations.
Yes, our entry level plan, Clubspot Basic, is free to use. You can choose to stay on that plan indefinitely, or you can add services and modules as you see fit.

No, there is no contract required to use Clubspot other than our standard Terms and Conditions that you accept and agree to by using the service. You may cancel, upgrade, or downgrade your plan at any time (we operate on a monthly billing cycle).
Our philosophy may be different than what you're used to; that's because we are consciously building a new kind of club management platform. We build our user base by offering world-class products and service, not rigid usage contracts.
For the Camps suite we charge 2% + processing on credit and debit card charges, and bank transfers. We cap the fee at $10 USD + processing per class registration, so you will never pay more than that no matter how large the registration fee is. If you charge $500+ per class this could save your club a significant amount of money.
In addition to card and bank transactions you can enable Member Charges. We charge $4 per member charge processed on your behalf.
Our volume-based model makes Clubspot affordable no matter how big your club is and no matter how many camps you run. We offer Online Waivers as a best-in-class premium service that will save your club an immense amount of administrative overhead. We charge a volume-based fee of $1 USD per waiver sent on your behalf.
Yes. Member charges are often used by private clubs to allow members to add registration fees to their club tab (settled outside of Clubspot). We charge a small flat fee of $4 per member number charge processed on your behalf.
We operate on a monthly billing cycle based on the day you originally subscribed.
Yes, processing refunds is free of charge. In addition, Clubspot will return the original platform fee we charged you for processing that registration on your behalf. For instance, if we charged $10 originally to process an $800 entry we will return the full $10 when you issue a $800 refund. If you issue a partial refund to one of your participants we will refund the proportional amount of our platform fee to your club account.
However, it is important to note that we are not able to refund you the raw processing fee charged by Stripe during the original transaction, since those funds are never under our control.
