Thursday Series

Welcome to another year of Thursday night sailing!  Please plan to join other competitors at the Crossroads after sailing each week.

Thursday night racers are reminded that sailing is a Corinthian Sport, and we expect the participants to behave accordingly, with decorum and sportsmanlike conduct.

Some notes on changes for 2024:

• Season goes for 20 weeks broken into two 10 week series.  You will get some throwouts but participation is rewarded.  Check the NOR for details.  
• For each fleet, the first race will be scored per race day. The PRO may run more unscored races.
• While not written in stone, the direction will be for the PRO to try and do fixed mark courses for keelboats and windward / leeward courses for Portsmouth.
• Race Committee will be filled by competitors. 
  • You are responsible for RC on the night you get assigned. 
  • If you have to swap that is your problem to find someone to swap with. 
  • The assignments will be posted here in the Race Documents. 
  • If you join late you will get an assignment after you register. 

RC Assignments:

We will hold the after racing social party at the Crossroads.  Please sign up to bring the main dish as a host.  If you are not the host, bring a side dish to share or a $$ to contribute.  Ideas for what to bring as sides:salads, veggie tray, fruit dips, chips, etc.

Notice 7/3/2024 - Thursday 7/4 Racing is Canceled

Report 6-28-24 - No Racing, no wind

Report 7-18-24 - No Racing Weather

Report 7-25-24 - No racing, no wind

Report 8-1-24 - No scored racing - "Keel boat dock closed"

Amendement #2 posted 5/20/2024 - This amendment updates the scoring to reflect what was communicated during the competitors meeting.  When you serve on RC you will get an AVG score.
