June 28th - Update from KYC Event Organisers

Key Dates 

• Friday, June 30th: Sailing Instructions posted on website
• Tuesday July 4, 1200hrs: Late registration fee applies.
• Friday, July 7th 1800hrs: Casual BBQ for travelling competitors. All competitors welcome!
• Saturday, July 8th: Raceday 1
• Sunday July 9th: Raceday 2 & Prizegiving

Saturday Schedule

• 0900-1100: Complimentary breakfast for competitors at KYC 
• 1130: First signal
• 1800-1900: Happy Hour at KYC, sponsored by Kits Beach Beer
• 1900: Dinner served on KYC deck

Sunday Schedule

• 0900-1100: Complimentary breakfast for competitors at KYC
• 1100: First Signal
• 1530: Race start limit
• 1700: Complimentary BBQ for competitors at KYC
• 1730: Prizegiving at KYC
• 1900: Last call at KYC bar

Arriving at KYC

Although we can accomodate travelling competitor's boats in our yard, we are tight for space. If you are planning on travelling and storing your boat in our yard for the regatta, please email manager@kitsilanoyachtclub.com ahead of time so we can prepare for your arrival. 

Parking

Parking near KYC can be difficult to find. Be advised, the Khatsahlano Street Festival will be happing on Saturday, July 8th. West 4th Ave will be closed for the duration of the festival. Be sure to factor this into your plans for arriving at KYC on Saturday, as both traffic and parking will be more difficult than normal. 

KYC Facilities

• Men's/Women's washrooms
• Rekord Marine Chandelry Trailer will be onsite for the duration of the weekend should you need extra equipment for your boat. 
• Fresh water hoses
• Volunteers will be onsite both days to assist with launch & recovery.

We will be serving greek food on Saturday evening at KYC. Full menu can be viewed below. One complimentary dinner ticket is included in your registration fee. Additional dinner tickets can be purchased through the KYC website here. If you have any allergies/dietary requirements we should be aware of, please email manager@kitsilanoyachtclub.com. We'll to our best to accomodate any requirements ahead of time.
