Watch Hill Yacht Club Opti Regatta

Hello Junior Sailors!

We are happy to announce that the WHYC will be hosting our Annual Opti Regatta on Tuesday, July 18th.

Please find the racing schedule outlined below as well as in your Sailing Instructions. Please be sure to download and read over the SI in their entirety, to ensure full comprehension of the event. Should you have any questions about the event, please contact us at whycjrsailing@gmail.com


*All Sailors should register online before the day of the event.


Schedule of Races
8:00- 9:30AM ... Competitor's Check In and Tshirt Pick up
9:30AM ... Skipper’s Meeting
9:45AM ... Harbor Start
10:15AM ... First Race (One race shall constitute a regatta)
12:00PM ... Off-water Lunch Break (Approximate Time - please bring your own lunch)

3:30PM ... No race will be held after this time 

Awards to follow for all Fleets: Top Three (RWB and Green) and Overall Fleet Winner for Big Fleet.

We will likeise be awarding a SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD. Be sure to keep your eyes on the water for great examples of Sportmanship. We will have the opportunity to vote at Lunch Break as well as after the last race, prior to awards ceremony.
