It's that time of year again - time for the the annual Pequot Invitational, hosted by Pequot Yacht Club in Southport, CT. This years event will feature Laser Radials, C420s, Fevas and Open Bics, and will continue in the theme of the last few years focused on learning, fun, and competition out on the Sound. This year the regatta will take place on July 11/12.

 

For those that have not participated in the Invitational in years past, it’s one of JSA’s longest standing regattas, dating back more than 50 years. Having evolved from a Blue Jay event, to a Pixel event, to it’s current format as a general Novice Invitational (Feva, Opn Bic,  Radial and 420) - the Invitational has built a reputation for two days of low-key racing designed to make racing FUN.

This year’s event is open to sailors in all fleets (L/R/420/Feva/OB) looking for a relaxed and educational racing environment, and will feature a BBQ dinner on Thursday night as well as t-shirts, fun prizes, and some mid-day “surprises” to keep things interesting! Housing is available upon request.
