The WaterFront Center in Oyster Bay, NY is proud to host the US Sailing Area B Sears Cup Championship that is the area qualifier for the 2024 Chubb US Junior Championships in San Diego, California in August.  At the Area B Sears Cup Qualifier, sailors race in Sonars provided by The WaterFront Center to ensure the quality of the equipment and a level playing field.

In 1921, Commodore Herbert M. Sears of the Eastern Yacht Club at Marblehead, MA placed in competition a Cup bearing his name for competition among juniors of Massachusetts yacht clubs.  The next year eligibility broadened to include clubs such as Larchmont and Seawanhaka Corinthian on Long Island Sound and Cedarhurst on the south shore of Long Island, NY.

This is a great event for Junior Sailors to compete against the best sailors in their region without having to travel too far.  Be sure to put this year's Area Championship Qualifier on your summer sailing schedule!  See you on Tuesday, July 2nd!

Entry fee is $275 per boat (Late fee is $325 after June 25).

US Sailing membership can be vailidated during this registration process.

**4.2. Boats will be provided by the Organizing Authority and host club. Initially, one boat will be reserved for each Regional Sailing Association (RSA) within the Area. Interested teams should contact their RSA to express interest. The deadline for RSA team registrations is 06/20/2024, after which the boats will be released on a first come, first serve basis.
