2026 Ventura Harbor Wet Wednesday Series

These mid-week summer evening races are scheduled for Wednesdays between March 11 and September 9.

After each race there will be a dinner and trophy presentation at Ventura Yacht Club at which all skippers, crew, and guests are welcome.

Total of 25 races i Below is the schedule of races. please note that the first Wednesday is not part of the complete series and there is no entry fee for it. 

• Schedule of Races – Total of 25 races starting on March 11 – September 9
  
  • Wednesday, March 11 – Starting Mania – one hour of starting and then back to the club for dinner.
  • Wednesday, March 18 – MOB (Man Over Board) Night included in a typical WW racing – Instructions MOB drill in Sis.
  • Wednesday, July 22 –  No racing – VYC Catalina Cruise
  • Wednesday, September 16 – Recap, Dinner and Awards evening (no racing)

• Eligibility and Entry
  • ALL SAILORS ARE WELCOME – Yacht club membership not required.
  • Racing is open to all boats with a LOA of 18 feet or more and are self-righting.
  •  PHRF Area A windward/leeward (W/L) handicaps will be used.
  • PHRF Certificate are highly recommended for A & B Fleets.
  • PHRF Certificates in C Fleet are not required but recommended, boats without a valid rating will be assigned a rating for this series.
  • Boats without a current PHRF Certificate will get a 10 second penalty. Join PHRF: https://phrfsocal.org
  • Entry fees are: $250 ($10 a race – what a deal) for the entire series or $20 per race.

  • Boats must be insured with valid third-party liability insurance that provides for a minimum coverage of $300,000 per incident.
