The Lorna Whittelsey Weekend Series is a weekend of women’s racing, dining, and
socializing. Celebrating the Regatta's 10th year, Indian Harbor is excited to pull out all the stops!
The event consists of a Saturday fleet race for the Lorna Whittelsey Women’s
Regatta (LWWR) Perpetual Trophy, followed by awards at the event dinner, and a Sunday
morning long distance race, followed by more awards and brunch.
The 2024 Lorna Whittelsey Weekend Series is composed of two events:
Saturday, September 28:
Lorna Whittelsey Women’s Regatta
0830 Check-in
0930 Competitors briefing & boat draw
1030 First warning
1530 No race sequence started after this time 1700 Prize giving and dinner
Sunday, September 29:
Lorna Sunday “Distance” Race
0900 Check-in
0900 Competitors briefing & boat draw 0955 Warning signal
1230 Prize giving and brunch
• One entry fee includes both events, or days can be paid for separately.
• Substitutions allowed for the LSDR.
* Additional dinner and brunch tickets available under Merchandise.
If you need hotel suggestions or housing, here's a list of suggestions, for convenience:
- The Delamar Greenwich - Greenwich, CT - Walking distance to IHYC. Call the hotel's front desk for potential special regatta rates
- La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Stamford - Stamford, CT - Very reasonably priced, close by (10 minute drive)
- Courtyard by Marriott Rye - Rye, NY - Close (8-10 minute drive in Rye, NY), two exits south on 95, and usually affordable.
- Stanton House Inn - Greenwich, CT - Very close, very nice B&B, sometimes affordable, sometimes 3 night minimum.
- Hyatt Regency Greenwich - Greenwich, CT - Close (10 minute drive), usually affordable.
