The Mom's Day Regatta is BACK!!! After our wildly popular inaugural event back in 2019, we are overjoyed to announce our favorite regatta is back, now also the Debbie Wright Memorial. This regatta is meant to get Moms on the water with their kids for a fun day of racing right in Chicken Cove. Kids skipper, Moms crew. Moms with multiple kid sailors can switch off as they please, or go 3 up if you like! Moms have supported their sailors from the docks and we want them to expeirence what it's like on the water for once. Moms - no experience neccessary. Kids - C2 fleet and up racers. There will be a brief land demo for our new sailors. And mimosas, chocolates, strawberries and more! Ask anyone who was at our first event, this is a day you'll remember:)

• "Littles" for kid skippers in Sabot C2+ or Middle School age.
• "Bigs" for kid skippers in high school!
• "College+" for "kid" skippers in college and beyond.
• Boat are provided.
• Sail #s will be assigned on the day of the event.
• Awards to top 5 Moms in "littles" fleet and top 3 in "bigs" fleet and top "college+" boat.
• Top MBYC mom/kid team names in Littles and Bigs divisions awarded the "Debbie Wright Memorial" Perpetual.
• Other clubs welcome!!

A few more details for Saturday's Mom's Day Regatta:

• Check-in at 10:30am at the Junior Office.
• Photos taken of Moms and Kids.
• Kids will rig, launch and dock the boats.
• Moms boathandling land-demo at 11am.
• First Race at 12pm.
• Littles will start first. After that we will rotate after every race, alternating Littles and Bigs.
• 3-4 races for each fleet. 
• Drinks and snacks between races.
