2025 WCAA QLD State Championships

2025 Windsurfer QLD State Championships. Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club • November 15–16, 2025

Get ready for two days of action‑packed windsurfing at the premier state‑level Windsurfer regatta of the season!

Hosted at Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club at Boreen Point and organised by the Windsurfer Class Association of Australia, the QLD State Championships are open to sailors across weight divisions—including Open, Cruiser, Novice, Youth, Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight and legends. 

Highlights:

• Sailing at beautiful Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba. Expect light winds in the morning then good seabreezes in the afternoon!
• Up to 9 races scheduled over the weekend, with a mix of challenging winds and thrilling competition.  
• Welcoming both seasoned racers and newcomers—with a relaxed, fun atmosphere.  
• Saturday evening informal social gathering at the nearby Apollonian Hotel—a perfect way to unwind and share stories after the day’s racing.  
• Full fleets across all divisions, aiming for a minimum of 10 competitors in each weight division.
• Hosted by Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club. We've had many great State Titles here before and even the 2022 Australian Titles with ~150 competitors.
