6.24.25 0930EST: Amendment 1 to the Sailing Instructions:  11.2 Appendix V. Alternate Penalties in V1 will be used.

    All competitors are encouraged to review the Racing Rules of Sailing for specific reference to V1, however the following information may be helpful understanidng what V1 enforces in terms of penalities:

1. Outside the zone, if you break a rule- 1 tack and 1 gybe
2. Inside the Zone, if you break a rule – 2 tacks and 2 gybes
3. Touch a mark – 1 tack and 1 gybe,
4. If you touch a mark and  it happens with your penalty, you take the 2 tacks, 2 gybe penalty
5. Yellow flag for Rule 42 (examples: sculling, rocking, etc): 2 tacks and 2 gybes
6. If you get a penalty at the finish and cross the finish line before your penalty, you must take the penalty and finish again.

TRAILERS

*The North Lot may need to be utilized for overflow dinghy berths, in which case HYC will make arrangements for additional trailer storage offsite and inform the competitors.

HYC is excited to host the 2025 CBYRA HYC Junior Annual Regatta for the Commonwealth Cup State Championships in the Optimist, ILCA 6, and c420 Classes. If you are sailing at NYCC Tuesday the 24th you are welcome to move to HYC Tuesday evening or Wednesday.  Competitors are welcome to leave their trailer in the Trailer Storage Lot (see Race Docs for SITE LAYOUT) starting Tuesday evening.  Please note that the Bridge Street entrances will be closed after hours.

Please do not lock your trailers incase HYC staff needs to move your trailer for additional space.

Please try to keep trailers organized and as close to the swale to maximize space for all visiting teams.

DINGHY PARK

PRACTICE WEDNESDAY 6/25

Teams wishing to practice are allowed to do so starting at 10AM on Wednesday June 25th.  Please remember that the HYC Junior Summer Program as well as other teams will also be using the launch ramp.
