NOTICE OF RACE 

1 RULES 

1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 

1.2. Competitors shall wear USCG-approved PFDs at all times while on the water, other than during brief periods while adding or removing clothing.

2 ELIGIBILITY and ENTRY 

2.1. This regatta is open to  all boats of the ILCA 4, 6 and 7 and 29er Class boats. 

Eligibility:

2.2 For the ILCA 6 & 7 fleet, this regatta is part of the 2025-2026 SCYYRA Ullman/Frost Series. All ILCA 6 & 7 competitors must be registered for the 2025-2026 Ullman/Frost Series. Series registration can be completed here: https://theclubspot.com/register/regatta/TFp8OKBrGJ/class. 

2.3 For the 29er fleet, this regatta is part of the 2025-2026 Hamlin Series. All 29er competitors must be registered for the 2025-2026 Hamlin Series. Series registration can be completed here: https://theclubspot.com/register/regatta/TFp8OKBrGJ/class.

2.4. Eligible boats may enter by registering online at TBD.

3 FEES 

3.1.1. Ullman/Frost: Early Entry – Before Jan 24th at 1700 $45.00. Regular Entry $50.00 includes the SCYYRA Sanctioning Fee: $10.00.

3.1.2. 29er: Early Entry – Before Jan 24th at 1700 $90.00 Regular Entry $100.00 includes the 

SCYYRA Sanctioning Fee:$20 

3.1.3. Entries received after Feb 6th 1700, shall be subject to a $20.00 late fee.

4 SCHEDULE

No race will be started after 1430 on Sunday. 

A trophy ceremony will follow promptly after racing. 

5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS 

5.1. Sailing Instructions will be posted online.

6 VENUES 

6.1. The racing area will be in the vicinity of the federal breakwater inside Angels Gate lighthouse.

7 THE COURSES 

7.1. The courses to be sailed will be windward/leeward, triangle, or a combination thereof. 

8 RACES 

8.1. A maximum of 10 races shall be sailed.

9 SCORING 

9.1. A boat’s worst score will be excluded from her series’ score when six or more races have been scored. This modifies RRS Appendix A. 

9.2. Three races must be completed to constitute a series. 

9.3. Sailors that are well behind the fleet may be given a finish score while they are on the course. 

11 TROPHIES 

11.1. Trophies will be presented to the top boat in each ILCA fleet. 

11.2. Trophies will be presented to the top three boats in the 29er fleet.

12.1. Drop off trailers at CBYC Dry Storage Area Use Via Cabrillo Marina from 22nd Street to reach dry storage area

12.2. More parking is available on north side of 22nd Street, across the street from CBYC Clubhouse
