Notice Board
3rd Annual Women's MC Nationals
Greetings from the Grand Rapids Yacht Club GRYC, MC Fleet 10, Mindy Miller (MC1600), and Commodore, Sally Berens (MC2470).
Fleet 10 on Reeds Lake earned the honor of hosting the 3rd annual Women’s MC Nationals in 2026. June 26-28th, 2026 promises to be great racing and camaraderie, building on the tradition begun at Lake Beulah Yacht Club in 2024.
The Women’s Nationals began to encourage women sailors to travel to regattas - gaining experience against new competitors, bigger fleets, in new winds under different circumstances - honing all our skills. This rising tide lifts all our boats. We hope you will join us.
Check out our welcome video on YouTube.
Charter boats, crew, babysitters, a great family club environment, hospitality, home stays, delicious meals, a live band, on the water clinic, a killer swag bag, on-site camping and welcoming community await. We are located in the heart of East Grand Rapids, Michigan surrounded by the second largest city in Michigan and its many amenities. Reeds Lake itself is small and challenging. Our Yacht Club has been here since 1932, maintaining a sailing culture with the city growing around it - it is a great location to sail as well as enjoy with friends and family.
The regatta features a warm up clinic on Friday with Jamie Kimball, 2 continental breakfasts, 2 lunches, dinner and live music Friday, dinner Saturday, awards, competition and camaraderie.
