SDYC Junior Invitational Regatta - SCYYRA North Series 1/4 & Hamlin Series 1/4

REGATTA INFO

Breakfast Burritos and orange juice will be for sale at the host stand in the dining room for regatta participants on both days.

Sabot Launching: Docking space will be limited this weekend, so please be patient with each other, and utilize carpeting in the boat yard for rigging/staging sabots.

• A-C1 Sailors should plan to launch and sail their boats to the end of E-Dock, also known as the Junior Race Dock, to ensure that there is enough space for sabots on the temp dock near the hoist.
• C2 & C3 sailors can tie up on the temp dock or wait to launch their boats since they have a shorter sail to the racecourse.

Coach Boat Launching

• All coach boats will be launched using the Star Hoist between B and C docks, adjacent to the boat yard.
• Coach boats may be stored overnight on the north side of the dingy dock in front of the Star Hoist.

Spectating

• C2/C3 La Playa Racecourse: parents can spectate from the ends of the SDYC Docks. The end of “E-Dock”, commonly referred to as the “Race Dock”, is a popular location for spectating. Please do not board member boats to spectate.
• A-C1 Shoal Course: The best spectating for the A-C1 Course is at the southern end of Shelter Island. It is a short drive from SDYC and gives parents a great vantage point over the whole racecourse. Benches and seating are limited, so plan accordingly.
• 29er Course: Spectator boats will not be provided by the OA. Please plan accordingly.
