  1. Venue: The racing area will be Pleasant Bay which is a protected body of water bordered by the towns of Orleans, Harwich, Brewster, and Chatham.

  1. Boat Launching: No boat launching is available on CYC property and no boats may be carried or towed over the hill at CYC. All boats must be launched at Ryder’s Cove (trailer ramp) or Jackknife Harbor (from the beach).  420s, Optimists, Lasers, and Sunfish should be launched at Jackknife Harbor and sailed or towed to CYC.

  1. Mooring: Competitors and coaches should be prepared to moor boats in front of the Club using their own anchor with adequate anchor and line. The new cuts in Chatham’s North Beach have led to significantly higher tides in Pleasant Bay.  If leaving a boat on the beach at Jackknife Harbor or CYC (such as a 420, Sunfish, Laser, or Optimist), it is strongly suggested that they be secured to an anchor or tied to something on-shore.

  1. Parking REVISED 2024: CYC is located on property leased from Eastward Ho! Country Club. Please respect the rights of Eastward Ho! members and golfers.  Eastward Ho! and CYC are located on Fox Hill Road in Chatham, MA.  There are NO parking spaces for available visiting teams, sailors, and parents in the Eastward Ho! parking lot.

    • Most CYC members and all visitors will park at Monomy Middle School (425 Crowell Rd, Chatham, MA 02633). There will be a 14-person shuttle that will be running between Monomoy Middle and CYC on Saturday and Sunday at the following times:
      • 7:30AM - 9:30AM
      • 11:30AM - 1:30PM
      • 4:30PM - 6:30PM
    • Drivers can drop off sailors and equipment in the North parking lot at Eastward Ho! without parking.
    • People who violate the boat launching and parking regulations may be penalized during this regatta and banned from future CYC Regattas.

When walking from the parking area to CYC, walk through the loading zone fences near the front of the first tee.  STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN, giving right of way to golfers teeing off.  Then follow the path over the hill to the right of the Eastward Ho! clubhouse.  Please also pause quietly for golfers putting on the 9th green to the right of the clubhouse.  On the way back over the hill from CYC, STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN again at the end of the fence.  The use of cell phones is expressly prohibited on Eastward Ho! grounds and must either remain in your vehicle or be turned off while proceeding to CYC.  Cell phone use is permitted at CYC.

  1. Tides:
    • Saturday, August 3: Low 8:39 am / High 1:54 pm / Low 8:41 pm
    • Sunday, August 4: Low 9:24 am / High 2:39 pm / Low 9:27 pm

  2. Food: Bring your own lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Limited food and drink will be provided by volunteers both days.

  3. T-shirts: Regatta T-shirts will be available for purchase.

  4. Competitor Registration: All competitors must register in advance of their respective Competitors Meeting through ClubSpot: https://theclubspot.com/regatta/pOQ0h4sb5f
    • Please read the instructions in the “Click for registration help/notes” popup and the “See more” link for each class for important registration information.
    • Competitors must complete the waiver which the site will email to the sailor or their parent/guardian.
    • Competitors must also check in at the registration desk prior to their Competitors meeting.
