2019 Mutineer Nationals - The Colorado Mutineer Fleet and Union Sailing Club are excited to invite you to the 2019 Mutineer National Championships, September 12-15th. Schedule the time off, plan a vacation in Colorado, fine-tune your boat and hone your sailing skills for the Colorado Mutineer Roundup. It’s a great time for sailing, hiking, and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park (less than an hour away).


It’s a beautiful time of year here: the leaves are starting to change, there’s fresh snow on the high mountain peaks, the evenings are cool (~50-55 F.) and the days are sunny and warm (~70-75 F.). The water will still be warm (~70 F.) from the August heat, and the fall breezes start up. We plan to have at least 20 boats on the line, with hopefully 3 or 4 Junior teams.

Join us September 11 at 5:30 pm for club racing with local members from Union Sailing Club.

Wednesday September 11:

9am – 4:30pm    On-site check-in, late registration, measure sails, inspect and weigh boats.

5:30pm              Join in the USC Club races (optional).  5:30pm first start, 3 races if there’s enough daylight.

Thursday September 12:

8am – 1pm         On-site check-in, late registration, measure sails, inspect and weigh boats.

2pm – 4:30pm    Practice races.

6pm                   “Cow Patties in Prairie-dise” cookout at Union Sailing Club

Friday, September 13:

10 am - Warning signal for the first race, additional races to immediately follow. It is intended that no race will start after 4 pm, but in the event where weather may prevent racing during a significant part of the day, the PRO reserves the ability to start a race up until 6 pm.

Saturday, September 14:

10 am - Warning signal for the first race, additional races to immediately follow. It is intended that no race will start after 4 pm, but in the event where weather may prevent racing during a significant part of the day, the PRO reserves the ability to start a race up until 6 pm.

Sunday, September 15:

9 am - Warning signal for the first race, additional races to immediately follow. No race will start after 1 pm.

Fees:

The early registration fee for entries received by August 25 will be $210. The registration fee after August 25 will be $230.  Early registration is encouraged to secure your desired size of regatta shirt. An additional $5 discount is allowed with a current US Sailing membership (Enter discount code 'ussailing' at checkout).  The registration fee includes Union Park entry fee for boats and cars, awards, two dinner tickets for “Cow Patties in Prairie-dise” Night, two tickets for the Awards Banquet, and two MNC 2019 regatta shirts.   (If a Junior team is sailing as a team of 3, registration will include 3 tickets to each dinner and 3 regatta shirts.)


Additional tickets for “Cow Patties in Prairie-dise” Night are available for $10 each and for the Awards Banquet for $20 each.  Additional shirts, if available, will be for sale for $25/each.
