For the Melges 15 Class Only

Instructions for using the electronic Vakaros Atlas 2 / Atlas Edge

• Please ensure you have downloaded the Vakaros Connect app on your phone or tablet and created an account.
• Add your boat profile if not already done. For the Melges 15 profile, please see the following video. In particular boats need to make sure your distance to start line (DTL) feature is set up properly. In the absence of this, boats might not see DTL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_DgXF2gNdA.
• Add your Atlas device (whether owned, borrowed or rented) by scanning the QR code in the app. The app should then update your device if necessary. If you device is already associated with a boat on your app, please click on the device name in the app to see that it is running the latest firmware.
• Please bring your Atlas device and phone with the Vakaros Connect app to the in-person check in on Saturday, September 20 from 0830-0915 where it will be checked and scanned into the Vakaros RaceSense system.
• Further instructions and opportunity to ask questions will be at the Competitors' Meeting at 0915 on Saturday.
• Boats will be checked to make sure the Atlas units are mounted in the approved location. Please see photo below.
