2019 Dinghy Fest

Every summer the Geneva Lake Sailing School hosts the X-Invitational & Dinghy Fest Regatta the second week of July.  More X Boats gather on the starting line of the GLSS X-Invitational than any other regatta, a product of combining the Jr. & Sr. fleets.  This makes for some incredible racing on the beautiful waters of Lake Geneva.  The X Boats race July 8-9 (Mon-Tues). All sailors and parents are invited to join in the traditional Monday party. 
​This year for the first time we will offer two full days of competition for our Optimist racers on July 10 and 11 (Wed-Thu).  Red-White -Blue fleet will test their skills on an International Optimist Course while the Green Fleet will race around a triangle.  Ice cream after racing will make the memories that much sweeter. 
The last day of racing on Friday July 12 will be dedicated to the Melges 14 and O'Pen Bic Classes. The regatta is run by the talented GLSS Instructor Staff who make sure that racing will be competitive and fun. Lake Geneva sports the biggest fleet on Melges 14 boats as well as over 20 O'Pen Bics, so come test your skills against the largest fleet in the Midwest!​
