Notice Board
Please enter each yacht's Advanced Test junior sailors as crew of a boat in the test site nearest their club (only need three sailors [per yacht: the navigator listed as "skipper" and two other juniors) and write name of their yacht or team. Also enter each Instructor Advisor as an individual coach entry, including the name of their yacht or team.
Please review the Notice below that has complete details.
Also review the Test Topic Guide that describes the test content.
Alerts:
- Bring your own NOAA Training Chart 12354TR and plotting equipment as specified in the test notice. Also bring a simple calculator for multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting, because your cell phone must be turned off and stored in your bag.
- Advanced test registration priority is given to three junior crewmembers (the navigator and two other juniors) and the instructor advisors on each yacht because there is limited space at the test sites.
- Other junior crewmembers beyond the minimum of three required may challenge themselves with the Advanced test provided space is available at the test site. Please do not take a seat at the Advanced test unless you have practiced plotting on paper charts and have scored 70 percent or better on the Basic online test.
Make Up Test: Identify those who need a make-up date by entering them in, or changing them to, the Make Up class. JSA will contact each club that has make up entries to arrange a suitable date for the make ups within approximately one week after the initial test date.
