2025 ICE BOWL - Take Two!

As we say goodbye to 2024, we are looking forward to another Ice Bowl at SSA! The Ice Bowl Regatta is an annual event held by the Severn Sailing Association on New Year’s Day. The Ice Bowl course is to sail up the Severn River, to a turning mark in Round Bay with keelboats rounding St Helena Island (direction optional) and small boats rounding the turning mark to sail back to and finish at the club. Trophies or prizes are up to each individual fleet participating. After completion of the race, a social event will be held at the club house.
The Ice Bowl is open to sailors in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Lightning, J/22, J/24 and Soling Classes.
Registration is free for SSA and ILCA-NA Members.
Entry Fee for Non Members is $28, payable through the online registration.

In accordance with the NoR 6. Safety & Weather, we will postpone tomorrow's race because of the expected gale conditions. We will reschedule on a future Saturday (date TBD).
We will attempt to sail on March 8, 2025!
