2025 US Sailing Advanced Race Management Seminar

IN-PERSON ADVANCED RACE MANAGEMENT SEMINAR (ARMS) 

Instructors are Lynn Lynch (Paris 2024) and Tom Duggan (Tokyo 2020).

This ARMS fulfills the seminar requirement for certification and recertification and includes the opportunity to take the Advanced Race Officer Test following the final session. You will have three weeks to complete it.

Schedule
The seminar will consist of a short Introductory Zoom session followed by two in-person sessions. Attendance in all 3 sessions is required to complete and pass the course.
Session 1: Introduction - Thursday, January 23, 2025, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Zoom online.
Session 2: Saturday, February 1, 2025, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm in-person.
Session 3: Sunday, February 2, 2025, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm in-person.

There is pre-course work to complete between the Intro Zoom Session and Session 1. It is estimated to require 8 to 10 hours to complete. The course is designed to build on lessons learned in these pre-course modules, but they may be accessed, reviewed, or worked on up until the class closing date. Timely efforts will produce the best results.

Two weeks prior to the in-person session you will receive an email from Canvas Free for Teachers (instructure.com), US Sailing’s online learning platform, inviting you to participate in the course. Please click the "Get Started" link to complete your profile and login to access the REQUIRED pre-course materials in Canvas.

The lead instructor will email you with Zoom link and additional course information before the seminar begins.

ADDITIONAL FEE of $85 per person, payable to StFYC, includes coffee, beverages and lunch on both days.
