Fast Mermaid Pursuit Race 2022

Some Logistics Information on the Fast Mermaid Regatta:

• The Fast Mermaid Regatta Principal Race Officer, Peter Dragonas, will be sending out the Scratch Sheet in electronic form Sunday morning 
  • to allow for any late entries.  
  • The scratch sheet will identify the starting time for each boat, in hours/minutes/seconds. 
  • Paper copies will be available at the BYC Front Desk before the race
  • First gun is 1200hrs.
  • There is no Skippers Meeting
  • Bruce Durkee is the Official Photographer of the Fast Mermaid Regatta

• Prizes - 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in each division, SPIN & JAM.  1st Prize - Etchells Fleet, & Spirit Award
  
  • Local Rumson's Rum will be awarded - thank you Eric Glass of Rumson's for your donation and Jay Pingree of Marblehead Graphics for the engraving!

• On shore festivities at the BYC, immediately following the regatta (approximately 3:30pm): 
  • The entry fee of $100 includes 4 food tickets, if registered before 12:00pm on 6/2.  Food will be Hot Dogs, BYC Chowder, and Cookies. 
  • Additional tickets can be paid for at the door for $20 a piece. 
    • Note: Only Boats registered as of 6/2 by 12:00PM will get 4 food tickets and can order extra food tickets
    • The gazebo will be open for Food Service and drinks

• Live Auction - The Fast Mermaid Committee will be conducting a Live Auction
  • All proceeds go directly to Lindsay Smith for her continued recovery
    • We will have Fast Mermaid/Sailor Girl necklaces (Carol Arnold Design) and earrings (Patsy Wiswell design) for sale $25 (cash preferred)
    • Fast Mermaid stickers will be on hand
    • And more!
    • Cash donations are gratefully accepted, checks can be made out to the "Fast Mermaid Fund"
