Seriously. This isn’t a typical regatta, nor typical NOR or Sailing Instructions. Please read it.
HIGHLIGHTS:
This regatta is NOT land-based. There is no land-based club, facility, or venue host.
Therefore, there are many differences from a normal regatta that you need to know, such as:
- This regatta is not a qualifier for anything. It’s just for fun!
- Regatta may be postponed from Saturday to Sunday, depending on weather.
- Any such decision will be announced no later than Friday, Aug 28 at 6pm via email and posted here.
- All sailors must be accompanied on the water by a coach, instructor or parent.
- Sailors being coached by LISOT must also sign up for coaching at LISOT.org.
- Non-LISOT sailors must arrange for their own coaching.
- Regatta entry fee does NOT include coaching (but does include cool swag!).
- Sailors are ineligible if they are traveling from any state that is currently under a COVID travel restriction by Connecticut or New York State (e.g., requiring a 14-day quarantine upon entering CT or NY).
- The competitors meeting will be via Zoom on Thursday, August 27th at 8pm
- All announcements prior to the regatta date to competitors, coaches and parents will be made by email and posted here.
- All sailors must register at on this site. There is no onsite registration.
- If a sailor is not feeling well or has a fever the morning of the regatta, do not come to the regatta.
