AMSS-MMSD Maritime Education Fundraiser Festival

The AMSS/MMSD Maritime Education Fund Is a 501(C)3 charitable restricted-use fund within the San Diego Maritime Museum for the purpose of bringing maritime educational experiences to the public. These educational projects are organized by the Ancient Mariner Sailing Society (“AMSS”) in cooperation with the Maritime Museum of San Diego (“MMSD”).

Objective
To create and maintain a “Fund” to pay for all reasonable costs associated with the activities that promote Maritime Education with an emphasis on learning through the perspective of time and culture. The “Fund” will be maintained as a restricted-use fund and ledger account by the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Any donations received from individuals or corporations are to be used for reasonable costs to run specific activities organized by the Ancient Mariner Sailing Society. These donations will be made through the Maritime Museum of San Diego. The donors of cash or items will be given a receipt of the donation, which includes the Maritime Museum 501 (C)3 tax identification number.
